Travel in and around Vancouver, BC is fabulously easy.  The Translink System motto is “Getting you everywhere you want to go in Metro Vancouver” and they are telling the truth.

The Skytrain is the entrée to the city from the airport, ending at the downtown Waterfront Station that is a block from the Canada Place Cruise Terminal and easy walking distance from many waterfront hotels.  From there, you can take the SeaBus to North Vancouver (See Lonsdale Quay post) or connect to the myriad of bus routes to take you throughout the city.

You can plan your trip at the website.  Cost is reasonable and is based on zones.

Translink ticket machines accept
Canadian bills and coins but also debit and credit cards.  Translink is developing new, more convenient and secure way to travel – the Compass Card, which will be fielded in 2013.
