Flying on mulitple tickets perhaps - to save cost?  In a hurry with the bag check....don't be.

We found out the hard way that the bag check is not always right - as we looked for our luggage in Phoenix while it was still sitting in Atlanta.


Don't take the bag-check for granted....check to confirm your baggage is checked to your ULTIMATE destination.


We told the check-in service that we needed to check to Phoenix and that we had two boarding passes and two confirmation numbers (split ticketing).  He acknowleged and handed me the bag tags for my review - I didn't and we did not get our bags until late the following day.
  
Fortunately we were in Phoenix for the holiday - we were not heading out on a cruise the next dey.....
